HOW LONG WILL MY ORDER TAKE TO SHIP?
All of our pieces are made to order, especially for you. Therefore, please allow two weeks for your order to ship. If you need it sooner, please email us before placing your order.
WHAT METALS DO YOU USE?
Each piece will state the metals used in the product listing. We use recycled brass, bronze and sterling silver for the castings. All of our ear wires are made using 14 gold fill or sterling silver. Our post earring are on sterling silver or gold fill with matching backs. All of our plated pieces are done in a 2 to 3 micron plating, depending on how the piece will wear. Our necklaces are all 14k Gold-filled.
WHAT DO THE TERMS OF GOLD PLATE AND GOLD-FILED MEANS?
Gold plated jewelry
All gold plated jewelry is brass . We use a much thicker gold plate than the industry standard, and once the pieces are plated, a protective finish is added to prolong the life of the gold plate. There is no nickel in any of our materials. Our gold plated jewelry should hold it’s plating for years if the wearer takes proper care of the piece (see below).
We use gold filled chain on certain delicate necklace styles. Gold filled jewelry is composed of a number of layers where a gold alloy is permanently bonded to the brass core with both heat and pressure. Most high quality gold-filled pieces have the same appearance as high carat gold, and gold-filled items, even with daily wear, can last 10 to 30 years though the layer of gold will eventually wear off exposing the metal underneath. The layer of gold on gold-filled items is 5 to 10 times thicker than that produced by regular gold plating. Because of the permanent nature of gold filled jewelry, this category tends to be slightly more expensive than plated or vermeil jewelry but should not be confused with solid gold jewelry.
HOW DO I CARE FOR MY JEWELRY?
Please take care of your jewelry by keeping it clean and away from water, soaps and lotions. Store your pieces in a dry location - preferably in the bag we send with your piece. If the piece gets something on it, wipe clean immediately. We sell Sunshine All Metal polishing cloths which can be used to clean and polish a variety of metals. You can polish your brass pieces up to a high glossy shine or allow them to darken and age. It's up to you. Do not use jewelry cleaner on plated items. You can polish these pieces with a damp cloth.
DO YOU ACCEPT RETURNS?
Yes, items can be exchanged for up to two weeks after items are received. Items must be unused and in original condition. Customer is responsible for shipping costs and will be credited in full minus initial shipping cost. CAN YOU REPAIR MY JEWELRY?
Yes, if you have a piece of MOLOKAI jewelry that is in need of repair, please send us an email at email@example.com. Repair fees may apply.
DO YOU SHIP INTERNATIONALLY?
Yes, we do. We are unable to guarantee any delivery time frames. Customers are responsible for paying all duties, taxes and other fees which are levied once your package reaches the country of destination. Duties on goods can widely vary, depending on the product and the country. Other charges and duties may also apply, depending on the items. For more information, please contact your local customs office.
If you prefer a more secure shipping method, please choose the Priority shipping option. If you need your package to arrive by a particular date, please contact us and we will send you a quote for DHL or UPS.
We are unable to accept returns, exchanges or repairs from our international customers due to shipping costs.
